Towards a multidisciplinary approach in prevention of trafficking in human beings, prosecution of traffickers and protection of victims
The conference will concern the different aspects of the struggle against human trafficking, around four principles, the four P’s (prevention, prosecution, protection and partnership) that orient the criminal policy in general, such as the one emerging from the Stockholm Programme.
The conference will also look into aspects of the fight against human trafficking both internal and external to the EU, supported in particular by the requirements put forward by the “Action Oriented Paper” adopted under the Swedish Presidency.
Within the framework of the fourth European Anti-trafficking Day, the Belgian Presidency is organising a conference that will take place over two days. In line with the principles of criminal policy contained in the Stockholm Programme, the conference will concern the approach called the “4 P’s” (prevention, prosecution, protection and partnership) concerning the fight against human trafficking. In conformity with the priorities of the “Action Oriented Paper” adopted under the Swedish Presidency, the subjects approached will include both the external dimension and the internal dimension of the European Union in the fight against human trafficking.
