Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Under the title of ‘Savery, ambassador for Europe for 400 years’, Prague and Kortrijk present a retrospective of the work of Roeland Savery, who worked as a painter at various European courts.

For the Flemish Representation in Vienna this is the main project in the Czech Republic. The Roeland Savery (°Kortrijk 1576 – † Utrecht 1639) exhibition is held at the Schwarzenberg Palace, across Hradcanske square from the presidential palace in Prague Castle.

Within the framework of the exhibitions, the Flemish Representation will organise several networking opportunities, in cooperation with Flanders Investment and Trade, the city of Kortrijk, the West Flanders provincial authorities and a number of Flemish companies.
