The real cost of fraud and corruption in health care: how can it be reduced?

The objective of this EHFCN Conference is to provide tools to reduce the unacceptable losses in health care resulting from fraud and corruption.
The presentations, workshops and panel discussions are to focus on practical aspects such as measuring the extent of the losses and how to prevent, detect, investigate and sanction them in a national and international context.
Special aspects such as the problems of counterfeit medicines and conflicts of interests are also to be considered.
This two day conference is an annual event which is being organised in Belgium for the first time with the collaboration of the RIZIV (a founding member of EHFCN) on the occasion of the Belgian European Presidency.
It comprises a series of key-notes, panel discussions and workshops besides which participants are being given the opportunity to network during the lunches and the evening event.
