This summer, tune into biodiversity!

2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity. That is why the VRT, the Flemish Region (LNE or department of Environment, Nature and Energy), the Brussels Capital Region (Leefmilieu Brussel or Environment Brussels) and the federal government (DG Environment of the Federal Public Health Service) will be airing a series of radio programmes in the context of the Belgian EU presidency on the topic of "biodiversity here at home".
So, during the summer months, tune in every morning (starting from 6:50 AM) to the series "Chris saves the planet" with Chris Dusauchoit on Radio 2, or every Friday morning (starting from 7:15 AM) to Radio 1 where Hilde Walschaerts will offer tips for activities.
More surprises related to biodiversity are in store for you on TV. In late October, Canvas will be presenting a two-part documentary on biodiversity in Belgium. On the French-speaking side, the RTBF has developed a game show on sustainable development, the first broadcast of which in November will be specifically devoted to the environment and biodiversity. Don’t miss it!
