Occupational hazards – difficulties in relation to exchanging information
Seminar relating to the exchange of information and data with and between the various insurers against workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
The European Forum of Insurances against Accidents at Work and Occupational Diseases Insurance represents 20 institutions responsible for legal insurance against workplace accidents in 18 European countries.
Belgium, holding the 2010 Presidency (joint presidency of the workplace accident fund and of the occupational illness fund with the support of the Federal Public Service Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue and the Federal Public Service Social Security), is organising a seminar during the Workplace Health and Safety Week, as part of the Belgian Presidency of the EU.
This seminar will focus on the exchange of information and data with and between the various insurers against occupational hazards. The following specific subjects will be examined: exchanging medical data, electronic data transfers, communication between social security institutions in Europe, etc.
The speakers will examine national and international topics. Their presentations will be followed by a discussion.
