Living Room Music
Living Room Music is the shared pet project of Festival of Flanders Brussels and MuziekPublique. For the eighth time already they are organising these small-scale and exquisite living room concerts. In as many as ten living rooms of a specific Brussels district, different concerts will take place over the course of two afternoons.
It's amazing how music becomes even more special and intimate if played in the room it was composed for: not a big concert hall but a familiar room. A special atmosphere is created by the personal meetings between musicians, locals and concertgoers. World music and classical music by performers from many different countries are on the programme. With one ticket you can go on a musical discovery along the different living rooms in a district and discover what is hidden behind these façades.
Every year Living Room Music takes place in two districts in and around Brussels. This year we are coming to the colourful Matongé district and Koekelberg, the smallest commune of Brussels. These concerts will take place the second weekend of September: on Saturday 11 September 2010 in Matongé and on Sunday 12 September 2010 in Koekelberg, between 14.00 and 18.00.
For 10€ you can buy a ticket to go to three concerts in three different living rooms. Book your seat from mid August via www.livingroommusic.be, 02 217 26 00 or at MuziekPublique in the Theater Molière, Naamsepoortgalerij, Bolwerksquare 3, 1050 Brussels. You can also pay and pick up your tickets here.
The tickets can also be paid and picked up the day itself from the central information centre in the district :
- On Saturday 11 September in Matongé, the central information centre is also at MuziekPublique ;
- the central information centre on Sunday 12 September in Koekelberg is community centre De Platoo (Pantheonlaan 14 – 1081 Koekelberg).
