Juxtaposition Brussels from one century to another
The 20th century saw the production of the first postcard, providing us with a set of photographs of Brussels.
Gilbert Fastenaekens has followed in the footsteps of the photographers of yesteryear by taking the identical photographs using the same position, framing and lighting. The present exhibition presents a selection of a hundred pairs of images, placing old postcards opposite contemporary images, bringing out all the changes in the urban environment, large and small.
