Industrial transformations in Europe
The Conference will address problems surrounding preparation for and management of industrial transformations. Discussion will be held on the impact of changes in modes of production and consumption on expectations and competence management, on value chains, and on public-private partnerships.
The conference is being organised within the framework of the first key initiative of the EU 2020 Strategy and in light of the publication of the Communication on industrial policy. In this age of globalisation, several orders of industrial transformations are ongoing, which translates into deep transformations in production processes.
These transformations have an impact not only on wages, suppliers, and subcontractors, but on all other stakeholders as well. The conference will address these issues with respect to the sector and at the regional level. It will bring together socio-economic players and European and international policy makers.
