European Aviation Summit
The European Aviation Summit is being held as part of the Belgian EU presidency in 2010. It is directed primarily at executives and experts of European civil aviation authorities, members of the European Commission and EASA, and generally at aviation industry executives and experts. The summit aims to deal with air traffic and air safety, air traffic management and the environment. It will also focus attention on international cooperation.
The European Aviation Summit is being organised by the Belgian Civil Aviation Administration (DGLV) as part of the Belgian EU presidency in 2010. The summit is aimed at executive and experts of the civil aviation authorities of the 27 EU member states and of all ECAC member states. In addition to these leading figures, the summit is aimed at higher authorities within the European Commission, and members of the European Air Safety Agency (EASA), the control authorities of Eurocontrol and Belgocontrol, and executives and experts from the aviation industry.
It will be held over two days, 26 and 27 October 2010 in Bruges. The main topics are civil aviation safety, air traffic safety, air traffic management and the environmental impact of aviation. It will conclude with a discussion of technical collaboration with third countries.
