Conditions of excellence in universities and other research institutions
This conference will examine the conditions and resources required to achieve excellence in universities and other research bodies. It will look at the role of these institutions in implementing the ERA.Three subjects will be examined in more detail:institutional governance, finance and centres of excellence.
There are many challenges facing public authorities and universities.The latter are modernising the way they work in order to introduce new mechanisms of cooperation (regional, national and international).
This conference will analyse the link between good institutional governance, competition and performance in relation to research.It will also examine the common principles of finance.Doctoral schools will be the subject of a special debate.
The purpose of the conference is to identify best practices in relation to excellence and to formulate a joint strategy declaration making it possible to achieve such excellence.
