    The Paediatric Committee (PDCO) is responsible for providing scientific opinions on the development of medicines for use in children, in accordance with the Reguation (EC) 1901/2006. The main responsibility of the PDCO is to assess the content of paediatric investigation plans and adopt opinions on them. This includes the assessment of applications for a full or partial waiver and assessment of applications for deferrals.

    This conference is being organised by the Belgian Contact Point of the European Migration Network under the auspices of the Belgian EUPresidency. The chief aims of the conference are to provide an overview of the various methods of research into the socio-economic position of migrants and the life trajectories of migrants and to study specific types of quantitative methods that allow the tracking of cohorts of migrants over time. Best practices will be discussed and the question of how this type of quantitative research can have an influence on the development of a migration policy will be explored.

Brass, voices, percussion, guitars, machines… "The Choolers" is a remarkable musical mixture, the secret of which is the artistic and human collaboration between mentally disabled people and amateur and professional musicians from various European countries.

    The building of the Council of the European Union in Brussels is being decorated in an original way for the occasion of the Belgian EU presidency. Famous fashion designers have designed silhouettes with clothing donated from the Spullenhulp/Petits Riens depot, a charity that collects old objects for the benefit of social projects. This initiative highlights the European Year 2010 for combating poverty and social exclusion. Alongside the silhouettes that can be admired throughout the whole Council Building, there is also a photography exhibition on "the making of" of the designs.
