Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

For the first time in its history, the Roi Baudouin Stadium will host a match between Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters, two of the leading tennis stars in the world of tennis. The two players will cross rackets in a heroic duel before a record number of spectators. The match will be accompanied by a concert starring the best of Belgian talent, including Ozark Henry.

BNP Paribas Fortis Best of Belgium will combine the best of Belgian tennis and the best of Belgian music. Together they will make the evening’s entertainment at the Roi Baudouin Stadium a memorable event. The highlight of the evening will be a tennis match between Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters. Justine Henin, who has recently been injured, will not be on court as initially planned, but will be in the stands to watch the match.

We are hoping to break the record for the number of spectators at a tennis match at this BNP Paribas Fortis Best of Belgium event. The current record dates back to 1973, when 30 472 spectators watched the match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs in the Astrodome in Houston (Battle of the Sexes).
