  • 2001 - 2004: Deputy Burgmaster for Basic Education,  Employment, the Elderly and Social Affairs in the commune of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode
  • 2004 - 2009: Secretary of State responsible for Public Hygiene and Monuments and Sites of the Brussels-Capital Region, as well as Minister and Member of the College of the French Community Commission responsible for Social Action, the Family and Sport
  • 2009: became Secretary of State responsible for Public Hygiene and Town Planning of the Brussels-Capital Region, as well as Minister, Member of the College of the French Community Commission responsible for  Vocational Training, Culture, School Transport, Social Action, the Family, Sport and International Relations

  • 1995 - 2000: social worker at the Social Centre for Prevention in the commune of Saint-Josse-ten Noode
  • 2001 - 2004: President of the Local Mission for Employment and Training and the Local Employment Agency of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode
