Annual meeting of the European network of environmental communicators
This year, Belgium will chair the Green Spider Network – the European network of environmental communicators. Belgium will therefore organise the annual meeting, during which members will exchange information and share their expertise. Among other things, the programme will include a presentation of federal, regional and European campaigns on biodiversity, cooperation on good practices and various workshops.
The Green Spider Network is an informal network of communications officers from European public authorities. This network exchanges information and shares expertise regarding environmental communications. The network is supported by the European Commission.
The theme of the annual meeting relates to federal, regional and European campaigns carried out as part of the International Year of Biodiversity. Also on the agenda: A good practices contest on communications campaigns, workshops on the topic of “environment and education” and sessions on the Aarhus Convention and the Presidency of the European Union.
This meeting offers members of the network an excellent overview of the communications initiatives carried out by their European colleagues.
